Your lesson includes all the equipment - surfboard, wet suit, and instructor. Your first lessons will take place on Santa Monica, which is great for learning where waves are gentle, the bottom of the ocean is sandy and locals surfers are respectful. As you start progressing your surf skills we will start moving along the coast depending on swells, wave conditions and winds. adding to the list; El Porto, Sunset beach, County line, Venice breakwater/pier. We offer beginner, intermediate, and private group- 1 hour, 1.5 hour and 2 hour lessons. The first 30 minutes of your lesson is done on the beach, covering board design and dynamics, wave dynamics, ocean safety, surfing safety, surf etiquette, pop-up technique and form. The remainder of your time is spent in the water, surfing with your instructor.

Hey guys my name is Claudio Hailing from the coastal paradise of Chile, I've spent the last 20 years riding the waves and honing my surfing skills. For the past 4 years, I've been sharing my passion for surfing through teaching lessons, helping countless individuals discover the thrill of riding the waves. With a deep love for the sport, I excel at breaking down techniques and providing personalized guidance to help students learn and improve quickly. Join me for a surf session, and I'll have you catch waves and ride confidently from your first lesson. Let's hit the surf and make unforgettable memories together! Along with this love and passion I have developed for surfing 2 years ago I created my own surf school call No Rush and a year ago I also created my own surf brand for you guys to enjoy the stoke of surfing inside and outside the ocean.

The Brand
The idea for the brand was born in Hawaii, where the rhythm of life is different, and time moves at its own pace. In a world that constantly pressures us to rush and commit, I found myself slowing down and prioritizing moments of peace and presence—often responding with 'no rush, I’ll be there when I’m done with my surfing.' This simple thought sparked the creation of my brand, inspired by the laid-back beach culture that runs deep in our souls. It represents the freedom of living under the sun, practicing our sports, and fully embracing the now, where past and future fade away, leaving only the present. My brand is a celebration of that moment—when you're fully immersed in the experience, and nothing else matters.

So surfing, the coolest thing you can do. I'm from Texas so not much surf out here. It was my bucket list to learn how to surf. So I figured where else to learn how to surf but California. Sunshine, beautiful woman, and well you know what else. Any ways. I booked a flight got a room in Santa Monica and booked lessons with Claudio. I show up and he was already waiting playing the ukulele (cool). So we spent about 30 min on the sand going thru safety and proper form. After that right to the water. Claudio explained everything very well and he put me on my first wave and I caught it. The feeling was amazing. Our session was 2 hours which I recommend. The rest of the time we spent working on form and wave identification. Who knew surfing was more mental than physical. A lot to know and Claudio had it all down. Cool dude and put on great waves back to back. Will definitely hit up Claudio next time I'm in Cali so he can put me on some choice waves. Thanks Claudio one more think off the bucket list.

Hey! I just had my first lesson with Claudio, and it was an amazing experience. If you're considering taking surfing lessons, I highly recommend him. Claudio is a phenomenal teacher, whether you're a beginner or if you just want to improve your surfing skills. I surfed with Claudio and got so hooked on the waves thanks to him. I can actually catch a wave and learned to enjoy surfing a lot. He is a very good teacher and very friendly, with a perfect blend of motivating, encouraging and keeping you safe and focused. He also has a structure of how to evolve you through multiple classes so talk to him about your goals wether it is a one time bucket list experience or actually learning to do turns and surf on your own.
